OB Commander is a Win32 file manager written in Rust — no GUI framework, no runtime. It reuses the shell's own context menu, undo stack and Recycle Bin instead of reinventing them, and keeps its config, session and cache next to the exe. Nothing goes in the registry.

Undo that Explorer understands
OB Commander hooks the Windows shell's own undo stack. Delete a file here and Explorer can undo it; delete one there and so can this. Undoing a delete restores from the Recycle Bin to its exact path. Total Commander has no undo at all.

Folder sizes, remembered
Space measures the folder under the cursor, Alt+Shift+Enter measures every one on screen. Results go into the size column and sort like any other number — and into SQLite, so an unchanged folder is never counted twice.

Duplicate finder
Group by size first, hash only what collides — full SHA-256, hard links excluded. Then keep the shortest path, the oldest copy or the one under the cursor and delete the rest. Ctrl+Z takes the whole batch back.
Previews
Ctrl+Q docks a preview in the other pane and follows the cursor; F3 opens a floating viewer. 13 image formats through WIC including animated GIF, PDF and Office through the system's own preview handlers, Markdown / HTML / JSON through WebView2, plain text with the encoding detected for you.

Three ways to find it
Type into the list to filter it, wildcards included. Ctrl+Shift+F queries Everything over its IPC — this folder or the whole disk, regex, junk folders excluded. Ctrl+B flattens a subtree into one flat list you can then de-duplicate or batch-rename.

Batch rename
Templates built from {name} {ext} {n}, find-and-replace with optional regex, case conversion. The preview will not let you commit while any two names still collide, and the finished batch undoes in one step.

Archives and checksums
Press Enter on a zip, 7z, rar or tar.gz and walk into it like a folder; F3 reads a file inside without unpacking it. CRC32, MD5, SHA-1 and SHA-256 all come out of a single pass, and it both writes and verifies SHA256SUMS.

Remote SFTP
Browse a server like a local drive: upload, download, rename, delete, make directories, drag and drop. It reads the SSH setup you already have — keys, agent, jump hosts and the host aliases in your ~/.ssh/config. Nothing to configure twice.

Everything lives in a config.toml beside the exe. Save it and the window updates — no restart. Rearrange the entire menu bar, choose which columns show and in what order, rebind any of the 73 commands, or register your own external command and give it a shortcut, a menu entry and a toolbar button.
